After working for WNEW Radio, International Creative Management, Time Life Films, HBO, and as an independent theater agent, and also co-producing several low budget films, Denise decided in late 2000 to stretch creatively and find her own voice as a writer.

Since that time, Denise has written over 25 short stories, several of which have been published in literary journals(Harvest and Eclipse); some poetry; three children’s stories; six plays, a screenplay; and three novels.

Her play, On the Job, was produced in Los Angeles in 2005.

Denise also wrote the the screenplay based on her award-winning short story Protection, which was shot in Los Angeles in 2008 as a SAG short film.

On June 14, 2015 at 7:00pm, a selection of Denise’s fiction, “Flicks” will be performed at The Federal Bar in North Hollywood as part of their “New Fiction Series.”

Denise’s latest play,  Trouble Dolls/The Limo Driver, was accepted for production as part of the Los Angeles Theater Festival for fall 2015.
